Company Information
American Overseas Group Limited, formerly RAM Holdings Ltd. (AOG) is a reinsurance holding company. The Company conduct all of its operations through the its wholly owned subsidiary, American Overseas Reinsurance Company Limited (AORE). It is engaged in providing reinsurance of financial guarantees of public finance and structured finance debt obligations insured by monoline financial guaranty companies. It refers to the primaries that reinsured with AORE as ceding companies. It has provided reinsurance through treaty and facultative agreements that it maintains with each of its remaining ceding companies. Financial guaranty reinsurance written by AORE generally provided for guarantees of scheduled principal and interest payments on an issuer's obligation in accordance with the obligation's original payment schedule and, in rare circumstances, such amounts are payable on an accelerated basis. It offers two products, such as Public Finance Reinsurance and Structured Finance Reinsurance.
