North America segment consists of amounts earned from retail sales of consumer products and subscriptions through North America-focused websites such as www.amazon.com and www.amazon.ca and include amounts earned from AWS. The International segment consists of amounts earned from retail sales of consumer products and subscriptions through internationally-focused websites. In May 2012, the Company acquired Kiva Systems, Inc. (Kiva).
