American Superconductor Corporation manufactures high temperature superconductor wire from metal precursors. Developed a continuous process to directly produce a multi-filamentary metal/ceramic matrix composite to be used in the production of superconducting microcables. Initial target markets are in high-value added areas such as military and aerospace. Major long-term opportunities are in production of utility cable.
