Tembec Inc. (Tembec) is a Canada-based company. The Company operates in four segments: Forest Products, Pulp, Paper and Chemicals. The Company operates manufacturing facilities in Quebec, Ontario, British Columbia, the state of Ohio, as well as in Southern France. The Forest Products segment is divided into two areas of activity: forest resource management and manufacturing operations. On May 7, 2010, the Company finalized the sale of two pulp mills located in Tarascon and Saint-Gaudens, France to Paper Excellence B.V. Canfor purchased Tembec's Elko and Canal Flats sawmills and the associated Crown tenures which consist of approximately 1.1 million cubic meters of combined Crown, private land and contract annual allowable cut. In May 2013, Tembec Inc announced that the closing of the sale of its NBSK pulp mill and related assets located in Skookumchuck, British Columbia to Paper Excellence Canada Holdings Corporation.
