NuVista Energy Ltd. (NuVista) is an independent oil and natural gas company. NuVista is engaged in the exploration for, and the development, production and acquisition of oil and natural gas reserves in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan. The Company drilled approximately 18 wells. Wapiti, its operating area is located south of Grande Prairie, Alberta, approximately 520 kilometers northwest of Calgary. The Wapiti area has a land base of approximately 193,000 net acres with an average working interest of 64.7%. The Company holds rights in approximately 173 net sections of land with an approximate working interest of 92% that are prospective for the Triassic Montney zone resource play. Its Deep Basin core operating area is located approximately 100 kilometers southeast of Grande Prairie and includes its Kaybob/Fir properties and other minor areas in the Pembina region.
