Mawson West Limited (Mawson West) is an Australian-based copper producer, developer and explorer. Mawson West's focus is on the Democratic Republic of the Congo (the DRC). During the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012, Mawson West's project included Dikulushi Copper Project and Kapulo Project. The Dikulushi Cutback Project is located in south-east DRC, in Haut Katanga District, Katanga Province, approximately 25 kilometer from the western shore of Lake Mweru and approximately 450 kilometer north of Lubumbashi. The Kapulo Project is located in the south-eastern corner of the DRC - Haut Katanga District, Katanga Province. Proved and Probable Mineral Reserves at Kapulo are 3.6 million tons at 3.6% copper and 8.3 grams per ton silver(Shaba open cut only). The Company controls 19 contiguous exploration licenses and two mining licenses covering a total of 7,242 square kilometers, wrapping around the western side of Lake Mwero from 40 kilometers north of Kapulo to 70 kilometers SSW of Dikulushi.
