Company Information
Contrans Group Inc. (Contrans) is engaged in freight transportation. It provides freight transportation services to shippers located in Canada, as well as in the eastern, mid-western and southern United States. It offers a range of trailer types and services, which includes vans, flatbeds, tanks, bulk, logistics and waste collection. As of December 31, 2011, its fleet consisted of approximately 1,200 tractors and 2,200 trailers. On July 1, 2011, it acquired 9213-2901 Quebec Inc. (S&S Enterprises). On July 25, 2011, it acquired the bulk trucking assets of TBM Transportation Ltd. (TBM). On October 1, 2011, Contrans acquired two front load trucks and approximately 200 bins of Ever Green Ecological Services Inc. (Ever Green). On January 4, 2012, it acquired 564661 Ontario Inc. (Archer). On January 16, 2012, the Company acquired certain of the van assets of MacKinnon Transport Inc. In June 2012, the Company acquired Peter Hodge Transport Limited.
