Company Information

Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust is an unincorporated open-ended real estate investment trust. It owns interests in multi-unit residential rental properties, including apartments, townhomes and manufactured home communities located in and near urban centers across Canada. During the year ended December 31, 2011, it acquired following properties: 83 suites/site counts in Burlington (January 31, 2011); 495 suites/site counts in Greater Vancouver Region (April 15, 2011); 625 suites/site counts in Greater Toronto Area (May 31, 2011); 224 suites/site counts in Toronto (June 30, 2011); 229 suites/site counts in Toronto, and eight suites/site counts in Bowmanville and Grand Bend (November 18, 2011). In May 2013, the Company acquired a mid-tier portfolio of multi-residential buildings totaling 396 suites and one commercial unit located on the shores of Lake Ontario.
