Ainsworth Lumber Co. Ltd. (Ainsworth) is a Canada-based manufacturer and supplier of oriented strand board (OSB) with a focus on value-added specialty products for markets in North America and Asia. Its manufacturing portfolio, with a production capacity of 2.5 billion square feet per year (3/8-inch basis), includes four wholly owned OSB manufacturing facilities located in Grande Prairie, Alberta; High Level, Alberta; 100 Mile House, British Columbia and, Barwick, Ontario. The Company's products are used primarily for new home construction and its principal markets are the United States, Canada and Japan. The Company's operations include an OSB plant at Grande Prairie and at High Level. In British Columbia, the Company's operations include an OSB plant at 100 Mile House. In Ontario, the Company's operations include an OSB plant at Barwick. On February 17, 2011, the Company completed the purchase of the remaining 50% of Footner Forest Products Inc.
