Company Information
Active Control Technology Inc. (Active) is a Canada-based company. Active is engaged in the design, manufacture and marketing of wireless devices and fiber network solutions for mine communications, and the commercial security and access control industries. The Company has two product lines: ActiveMine, which is an integrated wireless and/or fiber communications and locating technology for underground coal mines, and ActiveSecure, which is a family of wireless products for the access control industry. Its ActiveMine is a communications network solution designed for harsh underground coal mining environments. ActiveMine's technology is a fiber and wireless fidelity (Wi-Fi) mesh network, which can support any Wi-Fi device or Internet protocol (IP)-based application. ActiveMine's two applications include wireless digital voice (VoIP) and personnel tracking. In August 2011, the Company acquired PowerCart Systems Inc.
